I was not home for the show, so I recorded it and just now finished watching the Season 6 result, and I promised myself to post this by 11:30 p.m. so I can get some sleep, thus the brevity of the entry (which some of y’all are probably thankful for), but that is okay because it’s not quite as fun to write nice things about results when you are totally pleased with them. Had it turned out otherwise, you would have seen paragraphs full of words in ALL CAPS.
Anyway, that Top 4 was spot-on. Well done. And the winner…I’m getting emotional just now thinking of it. I would have been happy for either Jakob or Russell to take home the crown, but Russell was the underdog coming into this competition, and I think we can all relate to that feeling of triumph either because we have experienced it or because we have seen the joy it brings to others when they succeed against the odds. So well done, young man, and I hope that busted leg or whatever happened to you gets better. It kind of looked like you had an accident back stage with a Big Gulp or something because lord knows what that wet stain on your shirt was, but I’m sure you’ll be fine. It’s nothing that a quarter of a mil can’t help.
Three notes about non-dancing items from the show:
- Adam Lambert wore roadkill. Um…gross.
- Apparently J.Lo sleeps in a shoe.
- Lil C was on the judging panel!! And he said the following: “Orgy
of majestic contemporary artistry.” Gosh, I have missed him this season.
I agree: YAY Top Four! I think Jakob was technically the best dancer (possibly the best dancer I've seen on the show), but I am sure he will be Just Fine, and I can totally understand why Russell is America's Favorite Dancer. Three cheers for Season Six, and three cheers (or even more...an orgy of majestic cheering artistry) for Marge the Chronicler for making it worthwhile to get out of bed on Wednesday mornings. All the best to you too!
